The desire and fun of wearing and processing latex meets the desire to establish our own ideas and concepts on the market. As demand from friends and acquaintances increased, we officially founded SIMON O. Latexmanufaktur.

The first business premises are rented. The team spends long nights in the basement, where many of the first drafts and designs are created. SIMON O. is one of the first latex manufacturers to dare to dig deep into the colour pot, creating a trend towards more colourful adventurousness in latex fashion.

We can't keep our colourful collection in the basement for long: We rent a bright corner shop in Vienna's Wattgasse. The first domain -www.latex.at- is registered and marks the creation of the SIMON O. Shop, one of the first online shops for latex clothing.

In this year, SIMON O. receives its first order from a theatre: we equip the musical "Falco - A Cyber Show" directed by Paulus Manker at the Ronacher in Vienna. For this, 20 latex mackintoshes in Black banner are made for the funeral scene. In the coming years, we will be able to provide numerous other special stage outfits for theatre, music and film.

The premises in Wattgasse are remodelled and enlarged by a breakthrough. Numerous publications and photo reports in magazines, as well as the ever-growing customer base, contribute to the growing popularity of SIMON O. latex clothing and we have to increase our production.

Looking back to the founding year 1996, a lot has changed in the meantime. So has the number of employees - the SIMON O. Team now consists of five employees. What has remained the same, however, is above all: fun, pleasure and passion in and for working with latex.

When the business premises in Wattgasse became too small, the company found a new home in Hernalser Hauptstraße. A total of 400 square metres are adapted to meet the company's requirements. The space is also needed: The team now consists of 7 dedicated employees.

A new online shop with more choice and more configuration options for the customer is launched. Thanks to numerous redesigns and improvements, this remains the leading SIMON O. website for 10 years. Internet presence for 10 years until our current and brand-new shop takes over at the beginning of 2016.

In order to cushion the effects of the global economic crisis, we are moving to a family-owned property in Weyerburg this year. This will enable us to reduce our operating costs and preserve the jobs of all our employees.

SIMON O. builds a new production facility in Hollabrunn. Since we now produce a large number of new colours, patterns and special prints ourselves, we have to expand our production area.

Four years later, SIMON O. production is still located in Hollabrunn, but has now moved to the pedestrian zone, where a showroom of almost 400 m2 is now also part of the space. The team now consists of 9 employees who do everything they can to fulfil our customers' wishes.

In order to be able to supply customers with their favourite latex pieces from our collection quickly and at short notice, SIMON O. is endeavouring to create additional production capacity and sufficient space in a nearby second factory - both of which are finally made possible by the LATEX BASIC LINE. Now every item in this collection can be produced and delivered in any size within 14 days. We also offer a 14-day exchange guarantee for this collection if the wrong size is chosen.

The new SIMON O. online shop goes live in April. Looking back over 20 years, a lot has happened and changed. We now employ 17 people, 15 of them full-time, and process almost 12,000 metres of latex sheeting every year. We need 500 kg of cardboard per year just to cut all the garments we deliver.

Challenging years lay ahead of us. Corona was present and also hampered our production. Starting with the material orders, which did not arrive for months, through to the print runs and production with limited employees. Unfortunately, we often had extremely long delivery times of up to 16 weeks during this time. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who was able to show understanding for this.

After almost 30 years since the company was founded, we now employ 24 people who all endeavour to produce latex clothing for you in the best quality craftsmanship. This year also sees the launch of our revamped online shop, which is designed to offer you a better shopping experience. A variety of new payment options and more features for our customers.
